石ノ森萬画館は3月23日にリニューアルオープンした。6月30日までシージェッター海斗展を開催している。石ノ森萬画館の大森盛太郎さんは、「シージェッター海斗は石巻のヒーロー。石巻の人たちはよく知っているが、たくさんの人たちに知ってもらいたいのでこの展覧会を企画した」そうだ。リニューアルしてから、毎日約１、０００人のお客さんが来る。ゴールデンウィークの時は、６、０００人になって1時間待ちのときもあった。
館内には、仮面ライダー1号から仮面ライダーウィザード、キカイダー、サイボーグ００９、ゴレンジャーなど石ノ森章太郎作品がたくさん展示されている。大森さんは「是非、石ノ森先生のいろいろな作品に親しんでほしい」と言っている。
ところで、シージェッター海斗はどのぐらい強いのだろう？大森さんの考えでは、石巻のみんなだけでなく、助けて！と叫ぶ人がいたら全員守れるくらい強いそうだ。海斗は悪者としか戦わないけれど、戦う時はやっぱり痛いようだ。海斗の武器は「海剣」と海を走る「イスラスター」。この武器を使って、シージェッター海斗は石巻を守っている。

Sea Jetter Kaito will protect Ishinomaki
The Ishinomori Manga Museum reopened on the March 23, 2013. An exhibition of “Sea Jetter Kaito” is being held until the 30th March. Seitaro Omori from the museum said, “Sea Jetter Kaito is Ishinomaki’s hero. The people of Ishinomaki know him well, but we organised this exhibition because we would like a lot of people to know about him. Since the reopening, about 1,000 visitors have been coming to the exhibition every day. During Golden Week, this became 6,000 and there were even times when there was an hour wait to see the exhibition. Many of Shotaro Ishinomori’s creations are being displayed in the museum, including various “Kamen Riders” from the original to “Kamen Rider Wizard”, “Kikaider”, “Cyborg 009” and “Gorenger.” Omori says that he wants people to become familiar with Shotaro Ishinomori’s various creations. By the way, do you know how strong Sea Jetter Kaito is? In Omori’s opinion, Sea Jetter Kaito is strong enough to protect anyone that calls out to him for help, not just the people of Ishinomaki. Kaito only fights against the bad guys, but whenever he does, it seems that his attacks hurt. Kaito’s weapons are “the Mitsurugi sword” and the“Isura Star”that runs across the ocean.
