だんまるさんは、日本全国を回る紙芝居屋さんで、子どもの時からぼんやりと、世界を回ってみたいと思っていました。
そんなだんまるさんの作る紙芝居は、面白いクイズや、見たことのないお話、ノリとツッコミが満載。
とても面白かったです。
会場のみんなも、見たことのない水飴や景品の型抜きやカードに夢中になっていました。
私も大人になっても子ども心を忘れずに生きていきたいと思いました。
紙芝居の中で、「自分の紙芝居はオンリーワン。人もオンリーワン」と言っていたのが印象に残りました。
だんまるさんは、ノリやボケ、遊び心を忘れずに生きているようで、だんまるさんが作る紙芝居も、言っていることも心に響きました。
このハガキは、だんまるさんが口演前に自分の思いを伝えるために書いたハガキです。
口演に招いてくれた大人達にも、一緒にワクワクしながら待っていて欲しいという思いで書いているそう。
浅草寺での出演許可をもらう時にも、1日1枚出していました。

京都国際漫画ミュージアムを拠点とし、月に一度京都清水寺、東京浅草寺にて定期口演を開催しながら、全国各地を紙芝居一つで巡る。

Mr.Danmaru is a *Kamishibai performer who performs all around Japan and had vaguely dreamed of performing all over the world since he was a child.
His Kamishibai has plenty of riddles, unique stories, and funny jokes that I’ve enjoyed a lot. I think they are pretty entertaining.
The whole audience got malt syrup and won prizes like the right to join the honeycomb candy challenge and picture cards that we’ve never experienced before.
These things made me think I want to spend my life without forgetting a playful mind like him.
I was impressed, especially when he said “My Kamishibai is special like each of you are.”
My mind was moved when he said that. His way of living with a playful mind gives me respect for him.
Mr. Danmaru sent this picture a few days before his show because he wanted everyone,including adults, to be excited.
When he tried to get permission to perform in *the Senso-ji temple, he also did the same thing.
*Kamishibai…picture story show for kids
*Senso-ji temple…the oldest temple in Tokyo and known as one of the most popular tourist destinations.
Danmaru
The second generation leader of the Yassan group of Kamishibai performers.
Based at the Kyoto International Manga Museum, Yassan performs monthly at Kiyomizu-dera Temple in Kyoto and Senso-ji Temple in Tokyo, and travels throughout Japan performing Kamishibai.
